Introducing the Gold Coast
If you are looking for the quintessential ‘Aussie lifestyle’ then head to the Gold Coast with its miles of sandy beaches, but the sophistication of a big city and an incredible natural environment. Soak up the surf beach culture; cuddle a koala, have fun in a theme park or get out and discover 100,000 hectares of nature reserves and World Heritage sites. Whether adventure calls your name or you’re after a line-up of world-class events, the Gold Coast awaits.
Boundless Beaches
Bare feet, sun-kissed skin, curling waves and boundless beach days are what the Gold Coast is all about.
With more than 50 kilometres of beautiful coastline, including the likes of bohemian Burleigh Heads and coastal walks passing Coolangatta, Kirra and more, there is plenty of sand to roll out a beach towel, pop up some shade, slow the pace and just chill and admire the views.
Discover the Hinterland
Hidden beneath the Gold Coast’s bold first impression is a serene hinterland filled with farm stays, spa retreats and hiking lodges.
This ancient hinterland is home to Australia’s largest subtropical rainforest, where hiking trails crisscross the valleys, and spectacular waterfalls and ridges abound. This amazing area is a big reason why the Gold Coast is Australia’s most biologically diverse city, home to more than 1,300 animals and 1,700 plant species.
Dining, Nightlife and Lifestyle
The Gold Coast is home to a diverse and compelling range of world-class dining from award-winning restaurants, quirky cafes and food trucks, to wine bars and craft beer taphouses. Relish elegant beachfront hotel dining in Surfers Paradise, rooftop seafood in Burleigh Heads, Asian fusion in Broadbeach, and a vegan mecca in Miami.
The Gold Coast offers a variety of opportunities to scratch beneath the surface and live like a local. Drop into one of our seriously cool micro-breweries that offer live music and food trucks, visit one of the vibrant street food markets or join the ‘clubbies’ at the local Surf Life Saving club.

Positioned between Brisbane and Fraser Island, the naturally refreshing Sunshine Coast is one of Queensland’s hidden gems.
The Great Beach Drive
Imagine the freedom and exhilaration of driving on miles and miles of white sandy beach, the sparkling Pacific Ocean on one side and natural Australian bushland on the other. The Great Beach Drive connects the Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast, via Inskip Point at Rainbow Beach, the southern gateway to Fraser Island. With over 200 kilometres of stunning four-wheel drive beach driving, it’s an unforgettable experience abundant in nature.
Wonders of Nature
The region offers a range of unforgettable nature and wildlife experiences that will take your breath away, from the rocky outcrops of the iconic Glass House Mountains to the pristine waterways of the Pumicestone Passage Marine Park. The adjoining Noosa and Great Sandy Biospheres are home to rare and endangered wildlife, while the nearby Noosa Everglades, one of only two everglades systems in the world, provides serene tranquillity.
On the Sunshine Coast you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to immersive encounters including kayaking amongst dolphins, swimming with humpback whales or meeting some of the locals at Australia Zoo.
Live the lifestyle
On the Sunshine Coast, the only thing more refreshing than the water is the relaxed lifestyle alongside lush subtropical rainforest. Learn to surf, ride a horse along the beach, try yoga poses on a stand up paddle board…the options are endless. From coastal towns to hinterland hamlets, diversity in the region is abundant.
A natural food bowl, the Sunshine Coast is fast becoming one of Australia’s favourite taste destinations. The region has an appetising variety of producers, waterfront restaurants, wineries, breweries, food festivals and cooking schools. Get ready to indulge your every sense.
